Regulatory authority:
Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin - Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht), Lurgiallee 12, D-60439 Frankfurt and Graurheindorfer Strasse 108, D-53117 Bonn.

VISCARDI AG ("VISCARDI") has been granted a licence from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority to provide financial services according to section 1 (1) sentence 2 No. 4 (principal broking services), No. 10 (underwriting business), (1a) sentence 2 No. 1 (investment broking) No. 2 (contract broking), No. 3 (portfolio management), No. 4 Banking Act (own account trading).

VISCARDI is a member of "Entschädigungseinrichtung für Wertpapierhandelsunternehmen" (EdW), the German Compensatory Fund of Securities Trading Companies, 10865 Berlin. EdW was established by the German Deposit Guarantee and Investor Compensation Act (“EAG”) as of 16 July 1998. It was founded to protect claims of investors. Being a federal fund the EdW provides compensation according to the provisions of the EAG law if an affiliated securities trading company gets into financial difficulty and cannot repay or meet its obligations towards customers under securities transactions. The level of compensation per creditor is 90% of the creditor’s claims under securities transactions (EUR 20,000 maximum). With regard to amounts not denominated in the currency of a member state of the European Union or in EUR any compensation is excluded. Bearer and registered bonds issued by VISCARDI as well as obligations resulting from own bills of exchange are not protected by the EdW. The same applies to compensation claims due to miscounselling. To the extend EdW or a person or entity assigned by it, effects payments to a client, the client’s claims against VISCARDI will be devolved - delivery versus payment - to EdW. The same applies in the event EdW, in the absence of any client advice, effects a payment to an account which will be opened for the benefit of the client. In this context VISCARDI is entitled to provide EdW or a person or entity assigned by it with all necessary information and documents. To be excluded from the compensation are, banks and financial service providers, insurance companies, medium and large-sized stock companies and state-owned enterprises (see also sec. 3 EAG).
